Identification
Long, slim body with dark bars on the back and a small, underslung mouth.
Habitat
Surf zone and sandy bottoms in late summer.
Behavior
Schools and feeds on or near the bottom.
How to Catch
Bloodworm or sandworm on a hi-lo rig in the surf.
Notes
Very good eating.
